Terms and conditions

Information about your rights, our responsibilities and how the mobile ultrasound service operates.

Last updated: 26 July 2026

1. About these terms

These terms apply when you use this website or book a private mobile diagnostic ultrasound service from Advance Health Limited. Please read them before booking. They do not limit rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under UK consumer law.

Our service is not an emergency service. If you believe someone is seriously ill or at immediate risk, call 999. For urgent medical advice, use NHS 111 or contact an appropriate healthcare professional.

2. Our mobile ultrasound service

We provide the adult ultrasound examinations shown on the Ultrasound Scans page. Information on a service page describes its usual scope, preparation, duration and price. An ultrasound examination and report do not replace a full medical assessment, and another test or clinical review may still be required.

We may decline, postpone or stop an examination where it would be clinically inappropriate, consent is not available, the environment is unsafe or unsuitable, necessary preparation has not been followed, or the service requested is outside our scope.

3. Making a booking

You must provide accurate, complete and current information, including:

  • the patient's identity and contact details;
  • the reason for the scan and relevant referral or clinical information;
  • the complete mobile visit address;
  • parking, access, mobility, infection-control or care-setting instructions; and
  • any information reasonably needed to assess suitability and deliver the service safely.

If you book for another adult, you confirm that you have their authority and that they will receive these terms, privacy information and preparation instructions. A booking is accepted when we issue confirmation. An automated acknowledgement alone may not mean that clinical suitability has been confirmed.

We assign an appropriate available clinician and mobile equipment. The public booking form does not offer a choice of practitioner or clinic location.

4. The visit location

You are responsible for ensuring that the address is correct and that there is safe, timely access, reasonable privacy, adequate space and a suitable environment for portable equipment. Please tell us in advance about stairs, parking restrictions, security procedures, pets, smoking, infection risks or other practical issues.

If access is delayed or the environment is unsafe or unsuitable, we may need to shorten, rearrange or cancel the visit. We will consider accessibility needs and reasonable adjustments wherever possible.

5. Preparation, consent and dignity

Preparation varies by scan. Follow the instructions for the specific examination and contact us before the appointment if they are unclear or difficult to follow.

The clinician will explain the examination and seek consent. You may ask questions and may pause or withdraw consent at any time. Some intimate examinations may require additional consent and a suitable chaperone arrangement. A requested examination may be deferred if professional or safety standards cannot otherwise be met.

6. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in pounds sterling and apply to the service described at the time of booking. The booking process shows whether online payment or payment during the appointment is available.

Where an obvious pricing or technical error occurs, we will contact you before providing the service. We will not take or retain more payment than is lawfully due. Payment providers may apply their own secure processing terms.

7. Changes, cancellation and consumer rights

Use the secure Manage Booking link where an online change is available, or contact us as early as possible. Online cancellation and rescheduling options may close within the notice period shown during booking. Any service-specific cancellation charge must have been disclosed before booking and will not affect your statutory rights.

For many distance or off-premises service contracts, consumers have a 14-day cancellation period. If you ask us to begin a service during that period, we may require an express request. If you then cancel after work has begun, the law may allow a proportionate charge for work supplied. The right to cancel may end once the service has been fully performed, where performance began with the required request and acknowledgement.

If we cancel, we will offer a reasonable alternative or refund amounts paid for the service we cannot provide. We are not responsible for unavoidable delay outside our reasonable control, but we will communicate with you and take reasonable steps to reduce disruption.

8. Reports and follow-up

Report times are targets, not guarantees, because clinical review may occasionally require more time. Reports are released through protected access. You are responsible for keeping access links and credentials confidential.

Discuss symptoms, results and next steps with an appropriate healthcare professional. Seek urgent help if symptoms worsen; do not wait for an ultrasound report in an emergency.

9. Website and patient information

Website and blog information is general education, not personal medical advice. We take reasonable care to keep it accurate but service details can change. The individual service page and booking confirmation take priority over general articles.

You must not misuse the website, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with security, introduce malicious code or use another person's private booking or report link.

10. Responsibility

We provide services with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, breach of statutory rights, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Subject to those protections, we are not responsible for loss caused by inaccurate information you provide, failure to follow preparation instructions, misuse of a secure link, or events outside our reasonable control.

11. Privacy, complaints and law

Our Privacy policy explains how we use personal and health information. To raise a service concern or complaint, use our contact form with enough information for us to investigate.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts in England and Wales will have jurisdiction, although a consumer living elsewhere in the UK may also have rights to bring a claim in their home courts.
